In true Latin style, Sydney Latin American Film Festival (SLAFF) is celebrating its 10th anniversary with not just one party, but four unique fiestas featuring Latino film, music and culture from Marrickville to the Harbour Bridge between September and November.
The Festival opens on 25 September with a non-ticketed event featuring an amazing lineup of film and music, with food and drinks available for purchase. All donations received on the night will go directly to maintaining the sustainability of SLAFF.

The opening night film is award-winning Colombian feature Los Hongos, a day in the life of two young graffiti artists as they search for a way to continuously create and express the freedom they crave. The film’s sophisticated visual language relentlessly bursts with colour, and is matched with an energetic Afro-Colombian soundtrack.

Hector Mikem and Oscar Cadena—two of the most charasmatic DJs in the Sydney Latin scene—will create an eclectic set that makes your heart beat with the rhythm of the music.

For the past 10 years SLAFF has celebrated the diversity of Latin American culture and raised over $110,000 for Community Development Projects throughout Latin America.
