The body of a young and beautiful office worker is discovered deep in the woods, and news of Noriko’s murder starts waves of rumours and gossip among her colleagues. When semi-pro journalist and social media addict Yuji Akahoshi hears of a plausible motive and casually tweets it, Noriko’s co-worker Miki becomes implicated and a vicious trial by media begins. It seems like the twitterverse has already made up its mind, but is Miki #innocent or #guilty?
Adapted from a novel by Kanae Minato, whose work was also the basis for the Film Confessions. This is not your typical whodunnit but a murder mystery nonetheless, and a compelling commentary on a media-obsessed world.
