Screening at the Palestinian Film Festival in Sydney, Sheerin of Al-Walaja is an intimate portrait of the day-to-day life of a popular Palestinian resistance leader who quit her job with the UN to return to her home village of al-Walaja and fight for its survival. Shot on location over a four-year period by Sydney filmmaker Daz Chandler, this half-hour documentary provides a refreshingly candid insight into what motivates someone to put their life on hold to become a full-time activist.
