Patrick Bruel is Lambert, an ex-sex addict turned marriage counsellor who hires the sultry, sex-mad Judith (Sophie Marceau, also seen in this year’s Festival film, Chance Encounter) as his assistant. Lambert’s self-imposed celibacy is sorely tested by Judith who is determined to add him to her long string of conquests.
This comedic (and mostly fully clothed) romp is a pure delight, driven by Marceau’s alluring performance as the seductive siren intent on derailing Lambert’s newfound realisation that love must come before sex.
Marshall’s lively script, co-written with Erwan Augoyard and Sophie Kovess-Brun, is littered with quotable one-liners and laughs. In the end, Sex, Love And Therapy is a cheeky tale of those having too much of a good thing.
