Despite crash tackling terrorists on United flight 93, Mark Bingham died on 11 September 2001. An international gay rugby tournament was founded in his honour. Shot during the Bingham Cup in August 2014, Scrum follows the journey of a self-assured Canadian jock, a chubby Irish backpacker, and a stoic Japanese outsider as they vie for a position—under the tutelage of a determined coach—in the Sydney Convicts, the world’s premiere team.
