Lupe (Elena Anaya), an agoraphobic Spanish/Mexican former pop-rocker whose days of being wild are long over, is trapped by memories of her youth. She blames herself for the death of her band mate and brother Diego; and worst of all, she has no connection to her teenage son who despises her.
When her mother, stoic Paquita (Angélica Aragón) discovers she is dying, she determines to set things to right between her daughter and grandson. On the Day of the Dead, she asks for her departed son Diego’s help…and he responds.
