An in-focus look into the celebrated life of Korean fashion designer, Nora Noh. Her works helped liberate women across the country.

Korean fashion is increasingly becoming recognised across the globe. Leading KPOP artists and models have cemented their appeal in the 21st century. Before KPOP. Before Gangnam. There was Nora Noh. The Coco Chanel of Korean fashion, Nora, was the leading fashion designer who dominated the scene in women’s fashion and culture during her reign. She was the first designer ever to hold a solo fashion show in Korea and to make designer readymade clothes. She controversially dressed Korean singer Yoon Bok-hee in a miniskirt, the item’s first controversial mainstream appearance in a, then-conservative, Korea. Nora’s culture-breaking introductions were unheard of in Korea at the time and sparked freedom and individualism within women. A new horizon in feminist power was opened through her contributions and Korea’s eyes opened to the world of fashion. Today, Nora Noh is still rigorous and creative in her field. The film explores Nora’s world and her vast influence in the global world of fashion.
