No One’s Child is based on the true story of a boy found living among a pack of wolves in a forest in Bosnia in late 80’s. He is given the name of Haris and sent to an orphanage in Belgrade where he becomes inseparable from another boy called Zika. The caretaker devotes time and energy into helping Haris develop social skills and the ability to live with fellow humans. But in 1992, in the midst of war, local authorities demand for Haris to be returned to Bosnia. As soon as arrives, he becomes involved in the war, returning to the life of a savage once again. This distinctive, award-winning film makes us question what defines us as humans, and what it takes to turn us into beasts.
