Launching at Carriageworks in July, Hop Flicks is a new short film competition with “craft beer” as its focus. The competition is open to filmmakers across Australia and is the brainchild of Australian Beer Ambassadors in partnership with Sydney Film School and cinema magazine, FilmInk. Part of the inaugural Sip & Savour craft beer event, the closing date for submissions is 10 October 2014. Filmmakers can find out more about the competition at sipsavour.coma.au, whilst those who want to see their films will have to get along to Carriageworks on the weekend of 25-26 October.
