The Festivalists launch their new monthly film night, LOCAL HEREOS where the brief is you’ll get to meet Sydney’s best documentary filmmakers. Their opening film is GETTING FRANK GEHRY and includes a + Q&A with guest filmmaker Sally Aitken.
Drawing on a life’s work defined by controversial and ground-breaking ideas, one of the world’s greatest architect creates his first Australian building in Sydney - where debate already rages over whether it will be an eyesore or icon. Sally Aitken’s incredibly entertaining doco looks back at the origins and construction of Frank Gehry’s Dr Chau Chak Wing building, the new business school at UTS. Is it the work of a visionary or an ugly “brown paper bag”? You decide! More info/tickets
