This is an entertaining and intimate documentary portrait of the celebrated Israeli writer. Gur Bentwich, a filmmaker and Keret’s friend, follows him on a whirlwind book tour to New York. Between readings and interviews, Keret reflects on his life as a writer and the recent death of his father. The sharing of his off-kilter take on life, family and career is the center of this portrait of the artist. During the trip Keret meets with notable New Yorkers such as writer Nathan Englander and presenter of This American Life, Ira Glass.
