Director Abolhassan Davoodi’s Iranian film, Crazy Castle (original title Rokhe Divaneh / رخ دیوانه) follows a group of young people who are members of an online community and meet each other at an event in a cafe in Tehran. One girl’s urgent need for drugs, brings six of them together. What starts as a prank continues to unfold into a complicated situation, which reveals new aspects of each character.
The film won Best Director and Best Film at Fajr Film Festival, Best Film Award, Fajr Film Festival and now has its Australian premiere in Sydney for The Persian International Film Festival. More details and tickets for the film/closing night event can be found here.
