Cinema-K will resume with Season 2 in October 2015! In the meantime, you can explore your passion for Korean Cinema through our annual Film Festival and our acclaimed lecture series, which will give you a thorough insight into the world of Korean cinema and its amazing history.

We are fortunate to have reputed film critic and writer Russell Edwards to present a two-part lecture series on the history and industry of the Korean film scene, from Japanese colonisation until the Seoul Olympics in 1988, and then to the reputed blockbusters and accolades the industry has achieved to cement itself into the world of cinema. A Sydney-based film critic, Russell Edwards has spent over 20 years writing about films, including 10 years reviewing Asian and Australian films for the international trade publication Variety. Russell first attended the Busan (then Pusan) International Film Festival in 1999, and was appointed as an official Advisor to Busan International Film Festival’s Asian Film Market in 2015.
