A new digital print of this 1951 classic is set to light up Sydney screens and have audiences shouting “Stella!”.
Adapted from a play written by Tennessee Williams and starring Vivien Leigh, Marlon Brando and Kim Hunter, this winner of four Academy Awards tells the story of southern belle Blanche Dubois after she moves in to her sister’s skanky New Orleans tenement and meets her brutish brother-in-law, played by Brando. Screening at Young At Heart Film Festival, where all seniors tickets are just $7, you can also check out other sessions and buy tickets here.
